God is your Rock and your Stability
"I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." Psalm 40:1,2.
Waiting can be the most difficult exercise in life because it requires patience and trust. Patience, to realize that the best things in life do not always come as quickly as we would like it to, even though they are worth waiting for. Choose to believe in God who calls Himself "The LORD Almighty" because His power is not dependent on our strength or our timing.
In an age where everything is fast: fast foods, fast banking, fast transportation, fast communication, fast marriages, and fast divorce; we are trained to always expect quick results. We pressure God to act now or else! When you wait on God it means active faith in a trusting heart; persistent prayer against worry and fear; protection against unhealthy meditation and communication; and preservation from people with unwise comments.
The word "wait" is not passive but active - it is to be firmly rooted in the Sovereignty of God with a commitment to unwavering faith. God will come through in His time, and in the best timing for the best results. He will sometimes prevent circumstances, allow circumstances, or rescue you out of circumstances. In the midst of what is allowed by your Sovereign God remember: "God is your Rock and your Stability." Your victory is sure. Be patient and trust in Him.
Kingdom Declaration:
God is my Rock and my Stability. I have unwavering faith in my LORD God Almighty.
