Pray, Work, Stand By Dr Pat Francis

Pray, Work, Stand
"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."  (Eph. 6:13).

I read the story of General Eisenhower who upon his command watched a vast armada of 3,000 ships containing 80,000 allied soldiers sailing across the waters to the shores of Sicily for war.  Squadrons of planes roared into the sky.  As he watched his brave soldiers go out, knowing the inevitable casualties of war, he was deeply moved.

He sprang to attention and saluted his heroic men. Then he bowed his head in silent prayer with his staff joining him in this brief act of devotion.  Turning to an officer beside him, Eisenhower said: "There comes a time when you've used your brains, your training, your technical skill, and the die is cast and the events are in the hands of God, and there you have to leave them."

"After you have done everything, stand!"  Pray, believe, and let God take over.  His burden is light and His yoke is easy.  Leave it with Him.  There are some things that you cannot do.  Be wise enough to let go and let God.  Leave it with Him as you live by faith and rest in His peace.

Kingdom Declaration:
On Christ, my solid Rock I stand for the ground of my enemies is a sinking sand.
