New beginnings By Dr Pat Francis

"When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind him, at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears.  Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them."  (Luke 7:37,38).

This woman had lived an imperfect life.  She had a bad reputation, was rejected by others, stigmatized and living with shame, but she found the One who would not reject, deny, or shame her.  Jesus would save her, give her new hope, and a new life.

The Power of Faith.  She believed in the greater power of Jesus Christ who can take a mess and turn into a miracle, turn her shame into a testimony, paralyse and drive out her fears, give her honor and new chance in life. The religious leaders judged and condemned her, but Jesus recognized and exalted her.
The Power of Decision.  She decided to change her life with the power of God.  She put blinders on to the glares and harsh judgements of people.  She put in ear plugs to shut out negative comments.  Her focus was only on Jesus, the hope of her salvation.
The Power for Change. Faith in the words of Jesus changed her to change her world. Her new life began that day, "Jesus said to the woman, 'Your faith has saved you; go in peace.'" (Luke 7:50).

Kingdom Declaration:
Every day is a new day of possibilities because Jesus Christ is the Savior of all.
