Friends of God By Dr Pat Francis

Friends of God
"The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.  Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent." (Exodus 33:11).

Moses' relationship with God was not only as a servant, but as a friend of God. As God's friend, he had the privilege of speaking with Him face to face.  Moses did not need a mediator to commune with God, He was a welcomed friend in His Presence.

Abraham was also called, 'the friend of God', and as a result God told Him secrets and discussed with Him His plans and purposes.  God would not destroy Sodom, a city where Abraham's relatives resided, before discussing it with His friend Abraham. With friendship come intimacy, trust, kindness, and mutual benefit.

Today you have a friend, a very special One. Jesus said, "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15). As your Friend, God desires to be intimate with you and share His secrets with you as you spend time with Him.  God loves you and call you His friend.

Kingdom Declaration:
I thank God for being my Savior, Friend, Lord, and King.
