Do not give up By Dr Pat Francis

Do not give up
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."  Phil. 3:14.

Persistence, determination, and tenacity are the marks of overcomers, conquerors, inventors, great musicians, athletes, scientists, artist, leaders, and chief executives.  Abraham Lincoln said, "Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm."

To have a great family persistence and determination to maintain loyalty, integrity, honor, respect, love, and forgiveness is important.  To succeed at work, persistence to overcome misunderstandings, discouragement, tiredness, and jealousy is important.  To have a great business persistence to overcome loss, treachery, and even bankruptcy is important.

Opportunities come to all but how we deal with trials, obstacle, and failures separate the average from the achievers.  It is not talent that makes one successful - it is tenacity.  Jesus said to His disciples as He warned them of future persecution and distress: "but he who stands firm to the end will be saved." (Matt. 24:13).

Thomas Edison was a great inventor in his time but he had to overcome school expulsion, deafness at an early age, scarlet fever, poverty, and nevertheless became a successful entrepreneur who found over 14 companies, one of which 'General Electric' is a mega company today.  Do not give up, give in, or give over your dream until you succeed.

Kingdom Declaration:
I am a champion, an overcomer, and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Read the Bible in One Year: Jer. 9-11; 1 Tim. 6.
