God is your Rock and Stability

"I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." (Ps. 40:1,2).

Waiting can be the most difficult exercise in life because it requires patience and trust. Patience, to realize that the best things in life do not always come as quickly as we would like it to, even though they are worth waiting for. In times of waiting believe in God, 'The LORD Almighty', whose power is not dependent on our strength nor our timing.

In an age where everything is fast: fast foods, fast banking, fast transportation, fast communication, fast internet, fast intake, we are trained to always expect quick results. We pressure God to act now or else!  When you wait on God it means active faith in a trusting heart; persistent prayer against worry and fear; protection against unhealthy meditation and communication; and preservation from people with unwise comments.

The word 'wait' is not passive but active and is to be firmly rooted in the Sovereignty of God and a commitment to unwavering faith. God will come through in His time for the best results.  He will sometimes prevent circumstances, allow circumstances, or rescue you out of circumstances. In the midst of what is allowed by your Sovereign God, remember: 'God is your Rock and your Stability.'  Your victory is sure.  Be patient and trust in Him.

Kingdom Declaration:
God is my Rock and my Stability.  I have unwavering faith in my LORD God Almighty.
