Joy comes in the morning

"Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. 5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." (Ps. 30:4-5).

Peter and his fishing partners had fished all night and caught no fish. They were discouraged and defeated. In the morning as they were packing their gears to go home, Jesus came and asked them to take Him out on the water a little from the shore so he could use their boat as a platform to teach the people.

When Jesus had finished teaching, He told Peter to let down his nets for a catch. Peter politely said, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything.  But because you say so, I will let down the nets." Luke 5:5. They obeyed Jesus, let down their nets in the deep part of the lake and they caught a great catch of fish.

Seasons of weeping are not forever. After winter comes spring. After pressure comes birth of the new. When you are going through painful experiences, when the challenges seem great, remember that always after the night comes the dawn. Never lose hope during the night because God is watching over you. Pray, rest, and keep listening for His instructions for joy comes in the morning!

Kingdom Declaration:
The LORD is my light and salvation.  His joy is my strength for today.

Read the Bible in One Year: Psalm 37-39; Acts 26.
