God is a God of mercy and He looks for opportunities to bless His created beings by forgiving and removing the reproach of our sins. The King of Nineveh was a famous but evil King and God sent His prophet Jonah to pronounce judgment and destruction on him. The King's heart, however, was moved with humility to repent to God for all his evil towards the people of his kingdom. God's heart was moved with compassion and preserved the king. It is never too late to ask God for mercy.
We read the story of General Grant who had just professed faith in Christ. The minister who spoke to him ventured to say, 'God's Kingdom has gained a great acquisition in your conversion, General.' General Grant replied, 'God does not need great men, but great men need God.' Wow. Humility is the door to honor from men and from God. Humility is powerful: it cures broken relationships; it provides another chance for missed opportunities; it opens doors to kings and people of influence; it keeps our hearts in the right place for continual divine mercy and grace. Humility is power. As you create and rule your world, rule in humility as protection for your heart and preservation for lasting success.
Kingdom Declaration: I will walk in the power of humility as I create and rule my world of security and significance.
