Blessed to be a Blessing
"It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory; you stoop down to make me great." 2 Sam. 22:33-36.
David in his song of praise gave us insight into the secret of his success - God! He was a God-made man, not a self-made man. He honored God and God honored him. He was a blessing to God and God was a blessing to him. Notice that God doe not just bless us to make us happy but He blesses us so that we can bless others and join Him in His mission to make our world a better place.
King David's early life: "He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens, from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd (and King) of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance." Ps. 78:70,71From a shepherd to King of Israel was a huge promotion. God found a faithful heart to experience the great faithfulness of God, and He maximized David into greatness. .
Do not limit yourself in God. He can do immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine. He wants to bless you so that you can be a blessing to Him and others. He wants to honor you so that you can honor Him. When you serve Him, He serves you. Enter His cycle of blessings and be blessed to be a blessing.
Kingdom Declaration:
