A Personal Altar

A Personal Altar "In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning, I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." Ps. 5:3.   A Personal Altar as the name implies is a personal meeting with God, one-to-one, for prayer and worship. At the altar there is cleansing, meditation on God's word, sharing heart, instructions, and receiving fresh strength and anointing. It is your secret place where you will be undisturbed and find it easier to focus and honor the presence of God. For some who work in shifts, it is a daily meeting with God whenever and wherever it is convenient. Your Personal Altar is exclusively yours for communion, intimacy, and fellowship in privacy with your King of Glory.   To create A Personal Altar 1) Plan a regular meeting time with God. "In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." Ps. 5:3. 2) Start with worship. "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." Ps. 100:4. 3) Be cleansed. Cleanse yourself with the blood of Jesus and confess known and unknown sins in thoughts, words, and deeds. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 4) Meditate on Scriptures. Read and listen. God hears you and speaks to you. "Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law." Ps. 119:18. 5) Pray for yourself and others. "From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people." Ps. 3:8. 6) Be Empowered. Receive fresh strength for each day. "The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one." Ps. 28:8. 7) End with thanksgiving. "I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving." Ps. 69:30. Thanksgiving honors and pleases the LORD.   Kingdom Declaration: My heart is an Altar for Jesus Christ. He is my Hiding Place.
