Faith is power
"The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you." Luke 17:5, 6.
Faith is power that when activated in you takes on a life of its own. Persecution makes it grow. Tribulation makes it prosper. Slander makes it stronger. Threats make it tougher. A person of faith taps into the realm of unlimited resources and potential. "For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37.
Faith in God makes His power yours, His love yours, His anointing yours, and His will yours. Problems become only challenges. People of faith have testimonies of trials ending with triumph. People of faith turn their mistakes into opportunities for growth. Walls collapse, waters divide, doors open and needs are met for people of faith.
Charles Blondin, a famous French tightrope walker was the first person to cross the Niagara Falls on a tightrope. As the crowds watched and cheered him each time he crossed with a different daring feat - on stilts, on a bicycle, blindfolded and even in the dark. When he landed on the other side with the crowd's applause louder than the roar of the falls, he once suddenly stopped and asked his audience: "Do you believe I can carry a person across in this wheelbarrow?" They shouted enthusiastically, "Yes! You are the greatest tightrope walker in the world. We believe." "Okay," said Blondin, "Who wants to get into the wheelbarrow?" No one volunteered.
Faith is not just talk nor hype. Faith is confirmed by actions. "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." James 2:17. Today nurture your faith by prayer and allow this word of faith to bring forth the fruit of faith in your life. Let the power of your faith destroy all obstacles to your miracle. Have faith in God. You can trust Him to carry you through all seasons of life.
