In everything give thanks

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thess. 5:16, 17. It is said that a thankful attitude is linked to mental health, improves sleep, increases energy, brings personal joy, and give joy to others.

Thanksgiving is a choice, an attitude, a way of life. The bible encourages us to give thanks in all circumstances and not for all circumstances.

When you offer thanksgiving to God during challenging times, His angels are attracted to comfort and help you.  When you maintain a thankful heart, negative spirits are discouraged from hanging around you.  When you persist with thankful praise you create an atmosphere for positive influence and creative power.  In everything, give thanks. I heard the story of two ladies riding on a train and one was so visibly upset that the other asked,

"Are you OK?"  She looked at the stranger thinking, "What is it to you?" but felt compelled to answer.  She told about her hatred for her work, her awful boss, the lack of good air circulation, the old computers, no privacy, and her little pay.
After ten minutes of sharing her greatly disadvantage lifestyle, she paused and said, "What about you?"  The other lady smiled and said, "Oh I'm not as lucky as you. I lost my job six months ago and I haven't been able to find one.  Then two weeks ago, they found a lump in my breast and I am on my way for more tests. You are so fortunate to have a job to complain about and to be stressed out about its environment!"

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." Colossians 3:15.
