"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Prov. 3:5-6.
Two words in this passage are filled with revelation that will help you to experience God's blessings in your life: 'trust' and 'acknowledge'.
1) Trust. The word 'trust' involves confidence in the character, ability, agenda of the person that you put your trust in. Here we are not only encouraged to put our trust in the LORD, but also to trust Him with ALL our hearts - without any reservation. This could be dangerous if we put that kind of trust in a person with imperfections. Thankfully, because of God's perfection, His unchangeable character, His reputation, and His unlimited power, we can trust Him with ALL our hearts. "For I am the LORD, I do not change." Malachi 3:6. When we trust in the LORD our confidence, security, provision, and protection is in Him.
2) Acknowledge. The word 'acknowledge' involves recognition of the authority or status of something that it is real, genuine, and credible. It is also agreement and verbal acceptance of something. "If you confess (acknowledge and declare) with your mouth," Jesus is Lord, "and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Rom. 10:9. To acknowledge is a strong declaration of God with us, in us, and for us. It places God as your "Most High" in all your circumstances and greater than all that can come against you.
My prayer for you: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Rom. 15:13.
Kingdom Declaration:
I trust in God and acknowledge Him as my Jehovah, The Most High God.
