God loves you

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love." Gal. 5:22

As the world celebrates Valentine's Day, it is good for us to meditate on God's perspective of true love.  Love is the foundation of true religion.  The word 'love' in this Bible passage is the Greek word 'Agape' and described the highest and most perfect kind of love.  It involves choice and determination to manifest the great power of love.  "Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Cor.13:13. The source of love is God.  His nature and personality is love and He expresses His love through His people as 'fruit', 'expression', and 'evidence' of who He is.  God is love.

The beauty of our Christian faith is that we serve God who so loves that He constantly seeks to pour out His love to the people of the world. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. Love demands expression and God's ultimate expression of His love for us was to send His only Son, Jesus Christ to die for all the sins of the world.

God loves you. "His love for you endures forever." (1 Chron.16:34). Today, "God sends you his love and his faithfulness." (Ps. 57:3).  "The earth is full of his unfailing love." (Ps. 33:5). "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." (Zep. 3:17).  God loves you.  Be secure in His love today.

Kingdom Declaration:
I am loved, secure, and confident in God's everlasting love.
