Soar to your highest

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sins that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."  (Heb. 12:1).

When you watch people fly in an air balloon it seems so peaceful and effortless.  But for the balloon to be stabilized on the ground it is held down by the weight of sandbags on all four sides of the gondola.  When you climb in to begin your ascent, the sand is released until the huge balloon slowly lifts off the ground.  The craft ascends higher as more and more sand is released.

We are encouraged to throw off everything that hinders us in pursuit of success.  The weight of sin, distractions, and wrong relationships can keep us from soaring into our destiny.  Bitterness, anger, fear, procrastination, bad attitudes are only some of the weights that can keep us down. When our spirits are down it affects our countenance, attitude, and decision- making process.  A sinful lifestyle leads to a wilderness lifestyle without prolonged happiness.

Today, see if there is any 'weight' in your soul that you must get rid of.  Sometimes to set yourself free, you must first set others free and then you will begin to soar.  Today, let go and let God take you higher as you soar with Him into your new possibilities.
