Recipe for a blessed life By Dr Pat Francis

"Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands." Ps. 112:1.

This Psalm begins with the writer praising God, followed by his recipe for a blessed life:
1)  Praise the Lord.
It is hard to praise God and complain at the same time.  It is hard to praise God and doubt His power. It is hard to praise God and not be lifted out of depression, fear, and discouragement. As your praises go up, your blessings will come down.
2) Fear God.
To fear God means to respect, revere, and value God as our Creator and Heavenly Father.  As children are expected to respect their parents and honor them as their source of provision, wisdom, and protection, so our relationship with God as His sons and daughters gives us the privilege of His care, protection and provision.
3) Delight in His Word.
The Word of God has transforming power; motivating power; and mobilizing power.  Truth releases power and freedom while deception enslaves and keeps people in bondage to lies.  William Lyon Phelps, former professor at Yale University says: "I believe that knowledge of the Bible without a college education is more valuable than a college education without the Bible." Enjoy your blessed life.

Kingdom Declaration:
I am loved, appreciated, and blessed by God.
