God's purpose shall stand
"That day when evening came, He said to His disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took Him along, just as He was, in the boat. There were also other boats with Him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped." Mark 4:35-37.
Being in the will of God and walking in His directed path does not mean that there will be no challenges or storms along the way. Life has its ups and downs. It is not always an easy road to the required destination. One thing we can be sure of is that we will get to the other side as long as Jesus is with us. His promises are sure and His purpose will stand. God says, ".. My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please." Isaiah 46:10. The unexpected can really knock the wind out of us. One phone call, one e-mail, one visit from someone, one visit to the doctor can bring an unexpected storm, sometimes a furiousstorm.
Three things as you step out by faith:
1) Never forget the promise of God that made you boldly start out. Jesus promised that they would go to the other side.
2) Never lose hope. God is with you in the storm so there is always help, preservation, and protection.
3) Never lose faith. Faith knows that you will make it against all odds. Faith sees a challenge as only an opportunity to see the greatness of God. Without difficulties there is no need for a miracle.
God's purpose is greater than all your storms, all mountains of opposition, all resistance and time delays, and all the powers of evil. God's purpose will stand and His promises will come through, just as He said.
Kingdom Declaration:
God is Sovereign and He remains in control of all aspects of my life.
