Jesus died to save the world
"When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals - one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.'" Luke 23:33,34.7
Jesus died in public disgrace and humiliation. His friend betrayed and sold him out for thirty pieces of silver. The people He fed turned against Him; the people He healed used their strength to throw rocks at Him; the people He taught threw hateful words at Him; the people He cared for cursed Him; but that wasn't the real battle. The real battle was for his soul.
Satan wanted to bind Him forever with cords of bitterness; puncture his heart with vile curses; and destroy the purpose of His birth. "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:20-21. While He took all the sins of the world upon His flesh, His heart had to remain pure and free to save the world. His anger was directed toward the enemy and not to the people that He would die for. His goal was to bind the enemy and not to be bound by him.
With great power He chose to forgive the people who crucified Him, "Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Luke 23:34. With this powerful declaration of Jesus Christ all people can be saved, forgiven, and blessed with His abundant life. You are blessed and highly favored. God loves the world.
Kingdom Declaration:
God demonstrated his love for me in this: While I was a sinner, Christ died for me.
