Provide consultation and subject matter expertise to enable all companywide Process Safety and Asset Integrity efforts
Accountable for the development, coordination , and continuous improvement of all Corporate Process Safety and Asset integrity elements including minimum standards, instructions and programs. Works collaboratively with EHS leaders, Joint EHS Sub Committee, Joint Asset Integrity Committee and all levels of management on PSM/AI related standards, issues, program development, funding, implementation and audit
- Consult with operations EHS teams, EHS subcommittees to coordinate planning and implementation of corporate minimum standards
Primary consultant, and educator as the PSM and Asset Integrity Subject Matter Experts across all of Irving Oil (Refinery, Product & Terminals and Marketing) Inspire organization to live Safety as a Core Value. Lead, promote and guide teams to understand our safety culture, values and behaviors across the organization. Provide input into training and education programs Monitoring and reporting of PSM related risk mitigation Monitor and inform organization on regulatory changes including assessment of impacts Develop standards and programs that recognize current programs and operating accountability that is in place within the operating areas place (refinery)and the unique needs/risks of each operating environment/area (Product & Terminals & Marketing) Continued development of the PSM program while executing, consulting, and maintaining elements that have been developed Qualifications: Post Secondary/Trade Certification, Technical – B.Sc., Eng, Training in Process Safety Management - All not mandatory, but considered an asset 7+ years experience in a PSM facility (Petrochemical or Refining Industry) 5+ years direct PSM experience demonstrating a clear understanding of the elements of Process Safety Management as defined by CCPS Risk Based PSM Demonstrated ability to design and execute new programs in refinery and non refinery environment Ability to work well independently and in a team environment, influencing without authority Ability to work across organizational boundaries with diverse operating environments and needs (Refining/Marketing) Strong ability to build relationships and connect with diverse group of individuals, operating environments and teams Ability to adapt to needs of diverse operating areas Strong listening skills, ability to understand other perspective and push back with diplomacy and facts Strong communications skills Analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail Leadership.
