Sow goodness and reap greatness(September 4)

Sow goodness and reap greatness
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:3,4.

Selfish ambition is a hard road that leads to only temporary success.  Success mixed with pride or gained at the expense of others, brings with it a cycle of sowing and reaping of pain.  More than what you achieve is how you achieved it.

Jesus is our greatest example of giving and serving others.  He sowed His life and is reaping a great family of believers; He sowed His tears so we can reap His joy; He sowed His blood on the cross so we can reap His forgiveness; He sowed His truth and reaped a harvest of disciples; He sowed into death and gave us eternal life. Jesus did not just succeed in a great mission but His mission was about saving others.

On the road to success don't lose the important issues in life such as integrity, a caring heart, good manners, respect, and love.  Good character is powerful and does not yield to selfish ambition but is strong enough to consider others and confident to know that true security is in God.

Sow goodness and reap a harvest of greatness; sow love and reap a harvest of loyalty; sow kindness and reap a harvest of enduring legacy.

Kingdom Declaration:
I will sow goodness to reap a harvest of greatness.
