Skies will clear Thursday as a ridge of high pressure builds across New Brunswick according to CBC meteorologist Jim Abraham.
"This clearing trend will continue over southern and eastern areas today," said Abraham.
"While temperatures will reach the mid to high teens over much of New Brunswick and mainland Nova Scotia this afternoon. Low teens will continue further east under the persistent brisk northerly flow."
Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for all of New Brunswick as temperatures are expected to drop to the freezing mark tonight into Friday morning.
Abraham expects Friday to be a sunny day with light winds and afternoon temperatures near 20 C.

Northern New Brunswick
Today: It will be mainly sunny with a high of 14 C.
Tonight: Skies will be clear with a low of 0 C and frost.
Friday: Expect another sunny day with a high near 19 C.
Fredericton and area
Today: It will be sunny with northeast winds at 20 km/h and a high of 16 C.
Tonight: Skies will be clear with a low of 2 C and frost.
Friday: Expect a mainly sunny day with a high near 19 C.
Southern New Brunswick
Today: There will be patchy drizzle early this morning in the southeast but otherwise it will be mainly sunny this morning with northeast winds at 20 km/h and a high of 17 C.
Tonight: Clear skies are expected with a low near 2 C and frost.
Friday: It will be mainly sunny with a high near 19 C.
