I Need a Word By Quonda Renee

So I heard Facebook and everything attached to Facebook shutdown yesterday. I didnt really notice because I was on a fast. But in the evening when I logged into Facebook I saw quite a few statuses that got me thinking. My first thought was are we too dependent on social media? Are we spending more time on social media then we do in the presence of God? Does life begin and end with our need to be on social media? If any of us spend more time on social media then we do actually building our relationship with God then I think its time to log off and really evaluate our relationship with Him. Anything that you worship, idolize, or give all your attention has become your GOD. Social media is a tool for us to connect with others but lets not put that above our true and living God. I challenge you to take an inventory of where you spend the most time and what you spend the most time doing, if you spend 10 hours a day on Facebook but can only pray for 10 minutes a day something is wrong.
