Affirm The Good Things In Your Life Today Have you ever noticed how when you observe and experience things that you are thankful for, that your emotions get a big boost and your spirit feels so lifted and energized? That feeling is gratitude: that practice of being grateful for life’s blessing. Being consistent with practising gratitude every day in life can be easy too – it starts by observing the blessings in your life, no matter how small – it can be getting to work on time, sunshine after the rain or even watching as flowers bloom in your garden. So, make gratitude a firm part of your daily life: 1. Affirm each blessing that comes your way. Acknowledge how you were blessed in these situations and how they made a difference in your life. 2. Write these blessings down in a journal to remind yourself of how each blessing, no matter how big or small, can change your life for the better. Revisit your writing every day as a reminder of thankfulness. 3. And certainly the most important of all: Give thanks to God for your life of abundant blessings! Thank him for every grace and how you feel His presence every day. Remember, too, to give credit where credit is due to those who provide blessings in your life. It could be that neighbor who brought over a hot meal when you were swamped or unwell and couldn’t cook for your family, or that friend who offered to do the school run for you. All in all, gratitude can be so easy to include in your life, it could become one of the healthiest habits that will benefit your life a thousand times over.
