This scripture talks about God leading us when we are totally dependent on Him. There are times when we cannot see our path; hear our direction; walk to our destination; and make it over the rough places. David described God as his light, his salvation, his shepherd, his helper, and his shield.
There are times when we cannot see ahead in the complexities of life. God gives us this promise when the way is dark: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never stumble in the dark, but will have the light of life along the pathway." (John 8:12). God will light up your life. Wherever there is darkness, wait. Only where His light shines, step out. His light goes ahead of you and like a flashlight will only illuminate the areas that are safe for you to step in.
Do not be concerned about the areas that remain in the dark. His Light will shine there when He is ready to take you there. Your King is working ahead of you. He is making the rough places smooth; he is crumbling the walls and obstacles; He is destroying your opposition; He is preparing the way to lead you into triumph. He will not forsake you.
Kingdom Declaration:
God will lead me by His Light. I will never walk in darkness.
