We Worship Our King

We Worship Our King

"Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." (Luke 2:13,14).

This song of the angels has become an all-time favorite for music composers. The story of Jesus' birth resounds with music that has inspired artists and composers for over two thousand years. Yet in spite of the celebrations, decorations, and holidays there is a plot to destroy the true meaning of Christmas.

I read an article about Christmas in Tokyo: "A television interviewer was walking the streets of Tokyo at Christmas time. Much as in North America, Christmas shopping is a big commercial success in Japan. The interviewer stopped one young woman on the sidewalk, and asked, "What is the meaning of Christmas?" Laughing, she said, "I don't know. Is that the day when Jesus died?"

The plot is uncovered: 'Destroy the gift of salvation for all mankind'. Distract people with shopping and Christmas events; divert people from the true meaning of Christmas; make people too busy to worship Jesus; and replace His story with fables and tales.

The plot is uncovered but the power of Jesus, His love for us, and our love for Him is greater. We worship Him at Christmas with carols of joy as we sing: "Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room, And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing."

Kingdom Dynamics:
I celebrate with the angels in heaven and believers on Earth, Jesus Christ, Savior of our world.

Read the Bible in One Year: Haggai 1,2; Revelation 17.
