The thief is exposed

The thief is exposed

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10).

Jesus exposes Satan and his 'only' agenda:
1) To Steal. He steals our relationships, our time, our money, our energy, opportunities, and then ultimately tries to steal our faith in God.
2) To Kill. He tries to kill our hope with repeated disappointments, disillusionment, and betrayal. Hopelessness is a major cause of depression. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life." (Prov. 13:12, NKJV).
3) To Destroy. One of the enemy's weapon of mass destruction is deception. Where truth is veiled it leads to destruction: "And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Cor. 4:3,4).

Satan is called the ruler of this age and all ages - agricultural, industrial, information and digital ages. In every age, he seeks to steal hearts as a major soul collector, kill mankind's desire for God, and to destroy the dignity, privilege, and power of mankind as the true rulers of this world by the Spirit of God.

Satan is mighty but not Almighty. He is limited. God remains Sovereign God over the beginning and ending of all things and ages. God's salvation for you comes with His protection from evil, preservation from schemes, and peace to rule in your heart.

Kingdom Declaration:
I have the abundant life of Jesus Christ with all its benefits, protection, and glory.

Read the Bible in One Year: Ecclesiastes 4-6; 2 Corinthians 12.
