"Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through the whole countryside. He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him." (Luke 3:14,15).
Jesus, after being filled with the Holy Spirit, was led into the wilderness for prayer and fasting. The devil met Him there and for forty days tempted and tormented Him with one assault after the other. Jesus skillfully used the word of God to resist the enemy until he left Him. "When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him." Luke 4:13-15.
After winning the battle of His temptation, Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit. Here are some positives about battles: battles help us to build spiritual muscles; battles help us to earn greater spiritual authority and power; battles help us to gain wisdom and insight into our own strengths and our enemy's weaknesses; battles are opportunities for spiritual and natural promotion.
After Jesus won His battle, His ministry began with amazing results - "Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people." (Matt. 4:23). Great battles result in great victories and great glory.
Kingdom Declaration:
Through my God I shall do valiantly to bring Him great glory.
