The Powerful Name of Jesus
"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name." Philippians 2:9.
What's in a name? The power and influence of a name has been emphasized in religious ceremonies, poetry, marketing, branding, and prose. By our name we are recognized and described. God chose to give His Son the name 'Jesus'. He said of Mary: "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:21. His Name describes His purpose.
Jesus is The PreeminentChrist. His attributes are indescribable. His power is undefeatable. His grace is immeasurable. Jesus is called the Savior of the world; the bread of life; the good shepherd; the prince of peace; the Almighty God; the lily of the valley; the bright morning star; the truth and the life; the living way; the resurrection and the life; the chief cornerstone; the Messiah; the Redeemer; the Alpha and the Omega; Healer; the Holy One; the great physician; shepherd of our souls; the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Jesus Christ is all that and more.
His Name is above whatever or whomever is against you. He is always with you, His Name is powerful in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. Believe in the name Jesus and you will be safe, saved, and secure. Pray in the name of Jesus and your prayers will be answered. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ.
