God is never late(October 23)

God is never late
"Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you, He rises to show you compassion.  For the Lord is a God of justice.  Blessed are all who wait for Him!"  Isaiah 30:18.

Waiting is not always easy but it is a necessary part of the process to obtain blessings from God.  Joshua went into the promised land as a spy, tasted the grapes and honey, yet he had to wait for forty years in the wilderness before he conquered and possessed it.  During that time of 'waiting' he was trained by Moses, serving faithfully his leader that, unknown to him, he would one day succeed. Joshua, Moses' servant would one day replace Moses and become God's deliverer and judge, in God's timing.

The Hebrew word for 'wait' is 'Qawah' and it means to bind together; intertwined with; connected to.  I think of a vine in the forest wrapping itself around a huge, strong tree for growth, stability, and support.  Joshua connected himself to Moses as his servant and bound himself to God as his Source, Stabilizer and the Author and Finisher of his faith. Joshua was rewarded by God for His faithfulness to Moses.

'Waiting' is not passive but purposeful.  It includes faith, rest, faithfulness in service, and an awareness of the process and timing of destiny. God's promise to you: "Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31. Wait. God is never too late and His purpose for you shall stand.

Kingdom Declaration:
My times are in my Master's hands.  I wait and I am secure. I rest and I am at peace.
