Bournemouth have signed England midfielder Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season.
The move comes after it was announced earlier this week that Arsenal would be willing to let the 24-year-old go out on loan in order to get regular first-team football.
And the midfielder has opted for a spell at Bournemouth, despite interest from Crystal Palace, Roma and AC Milan.
Bournemouth chief executive Neil Blake said: "Jack is a fantastic addition to the club.

"He is a player that needs no introduction and one that, quite rightly, our supporters will be excited to see in a Bournemouth shirt.
"He will bring a wealth of international and Premier League experience, so we are delighted to be able to welcome a player of his calibre to the club."

Wilshere famously went on loan to Bolton back in 2010, where his displays established him as one of English football's brightest prospects.
He subsequently became a first-team regular for Arsenal and England, and has won 34 international caps.

'Wilshere lost his mojo'

Loan move perfect for Wilshere to get spark back, says Merson
However, Wilshere has been very unfortunate with injuries in recent seasons and, although he returned to fitness in time for Euro 2016, he has yet to start for Arsenal this season and was left out of the England squad on Sunday by new manager Sam Allardyce.

The presence of Granit Xhaka, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil at Arsenal means they are well-stocked in midfield, even without Wilshere.
And, after his representatives held meetings with Palace and Bournemouth on Tuesday, Wilshere has decided to head to the south coast in order to revive his career.

Tottenham have signed Moussa Sissoko on a deal running until 2021

Paul Gilmour has late news of a deal from Tottenham as Moussa Sissoko joins for £30m
Paul Gilmour has late news of a deal from Tottenham as Moussa Sissoko joins for £30m
Tottenham have completed a Deadline Day coup by signing France international Moussa Sissoko just before the window closed.
The 27-year-old midfielder has signed a deal which will keep him at White Hart Lane until at least 2021.
Official confirmation of the deal emerged just after Sissoko posted a picture of himself on Twitter holding up a Spurs shirt, which he captioned: "Very happy to join Spurs for the next five years!"
At one point Everton appeared to be favourites to sign Sissoko but Spurs matched their £30m offer and the Merseyside club eventually withdrew their interest.

Sissoko impressed for France at Euro 2016 but was unable to prevent Newcastle's relegation from the Premier League last season.
He has pushed for a transfer this summer after claiming it would be difficult to retain his international place if he was playing his football in the Sky Bet Championship.

Newcastle wrote in a statement on Wednesday night: "Midfielder Moussa Sissoko has completed his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.
"The 27-year-old France international arrived on Tyneside in January 2013 from Toulouse and made 133 appearances in all competitions for the Magpies during three-and-a-half years at St James' Park, scoring 12 goals.
"Sissoko's final outing for United came in a 5-1 victory over his new side, Spurs, on the last day of the 2016-17 campaign."

He was in Paris on Tuesday and, when he heard PSG had rejected Chelsea's interest in him, he sought out both PSG's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and their sporting director - his fellow countryman Leonardo - in an attempt to convince them to let him go.

The David Luiz verdict

Luiz said: "I'm delighted to return to Chelsea. We had a fantastic story during my first time at the club and I want to help the team and Antonio Conte achieve a lot of success.

Chelsea and PSG 'some way apart' on David Luiz transfer fee

Paris Saint-Germain want more than £30m for David Luiz
Paris Saint-Germain want more than £30m for David Luiz
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are continuing negotiations over the transfer of David Luiz - but the clubs remain "some way apart" on a fee, according to Sky sources.
Chelsea have made a bid of £30m to bring the Brazilian defender back to Stamford Bridge, but PSG - who bought him from the Blues for £50m - do not want to make a £20m loss on the player.
The 29-year-old Brazilian left Stamford Bridge for France two years ago for what remains a world record fee for a defender.
New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has made it clear a centre-back was top of his priority list with moves for Alessio Romagnoli at AC Milan and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli falling through so far.

Sky in Italy reported last week that Chelsea's £30m bid for Romagnoli was rejected, and that there was a "90 per cent" chance of Koulibaly not moving to Conte's team.
Chelsea first purchased Luiz in January 2011 from Benfica for £21m.
In his three-year stay in west London, Luiz made 143 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring 12 goals.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has joined Serie-A Torino on a season-long loan deal.
Hart, 29, lost his place to Willy Caballero at the start of the season and new coach Pep Guardiola's decision to sign Claudio Bravo from Barcelona effectively relegated the England international to third choice.

Sunderland - who have lost injured first-choice goalkeeper Vito Mannone for three months - were prepared to pay a large slice of his wages but Manchester City agreed to Hart's preference to move to Italy.
Hart told Torino's website: "Suddenly, my career has taken an important turn…Torino's offer came in the right moment, in the right manner. I am very excited to test myself in an important and beautiful league such as Serie A.
"The history of goalkeepers in Italy is known everywhere. I am sure I will learn in Torino, too. For this reason I accepted President Cairo's proposal.

A statement on the City website read: "A popular, well-liked figure in the dressing room and a fans' favourite thanks to his articulate, straight-talking candour in interviews, Hart now joins Turin-based Serie A outfit Torino for the remainder of the current campaign
"From everyone at the club, good luck and thank you, Joe!"
