Our inner navigation system

"This is what the Lord says: 'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls."  Jer. 6:16.

This is a metaphor that describes someone travelling to a new city for an important appointment and he was anxious to be on time.  He comes to a four way stop and was not sure which way to turn.  He had an address but no exclusive navigation system to talk him through the journey.  He sees a person coming towards him that seems like a resident of that city.  He stopped him and asked for directions and gratefully he had found the right person who knew the path, the directions and even the timing for him to reach his appointment. He would obey the instructions, walk on the right roads, and make the right turns and he would succeed.

Now we have a satellite navigation system that uses a GPS navigation device to guide us, talk to us, and lead us to our destination.  God has given us, however, a built-in navigation system to guide us on the path of righteousness - our conscience and the Holy Spirit. As you listen, obey, and walk, God's guidance will be with you leading you to His rest which is peaceful confidence that God is in control of your life. "There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God."

God's promise to you: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye." Ps. 32:8. Turn on your inner navigation system by prayer and continued listening.

Kingdom Declaration:
The Lord is my Shepherd who leads and guides me into the path of righteousness for His Name sake.
