Remain in the Vine

"I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5.

A vineyard is a plantation of grape-bearing vines.  The vine is the strength of the bush and provides the source of nutrients and life for the branches.  From the branches comes the cluster of grapes.  Each branch has the potential to grow great clusters with hundreds of grapes if it remains on the vine.

Jesus is encouraging you to remain close to Him so that all the potential fruitfulness of your life will manifest in abundance.  Not only will you bear fruit but also your fruit will have multiplying effects.  From a cluster of grapes, we get wine, raisin, jam, juice, vinegar, grape seed extracts, molasses and oil.  There are no limits to what God can do through a yielded vessel that depend on His unlimited power, in His unfailing grace, and in His unending love.

When God asks you to remain in Him it is because He sees your potential and is committed to its fulfillment; He knows your capabilities and is committed to your grooming; He knows what you will face and is committed to your protection. Jesus, your vine, remains strong and powerful with all the provision that you need to grow and bear much fruit. Remain in Him through prayer, obedience, and faithful service.

Kingdom Declaration:
My King is my source and strength. I shall remain in Him to be strong and satisfied.
