Lead others as God leads you

“The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: If you walk in my ways and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.’” (Zech. 3:6,7).

God is looking for godly leaders. Leaders are people of authority and influence who guide and lead others in a particular direction or to accomplish a common goal. Leaders are role models, whether intentionally or not, you will reproduce yourself in others.

God’s qualification for good leadership:
1)   Walk in His ways. As you are led by the light of God, He will direct you as you direct others in His pathways of blessings. Clarity of vision is important for successful leadership. When you see clearly, you will lead others strategically towards a common goal.
2) Intentional growth. Great leaders never stop learning and growing to stay current for the future. The Jesus Model for growth is available for us, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” (Luke 2:52). The CHAYIL Pillars of worship, wisdom, power, honor, favor, wealth and influence reflects the focused life and core values of Jesus. Jesus remains the greatest leader this world has ever experienced.
3) Lead if you are a leader. As faith without works is dead, so is leadership without decision and action. Leadership is not a title, it is a function. The world is looking for Godly leaders to lead people out of fear into faith, darkness into light, turmoil into peace and failures into forgiveness.

Successful leadership is based on good character and attitude. Good character seeks first to please God above all others. A good attitude pursues humility and seeks to help others.  A leader, then, should be a God-pleaser and a people-helper.  As God leads you, so lead others. As God cares for you, care for others. As God serves you, serve others. The result will be a life of great influence and enduring legacy.

Kingdom Declaration:
God is leading me as I lead others in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Read the Bible in One Year: Proverbs 8,9; 2 Corinthians 3.
