Resist Condemnation

Resist Condemnation

"Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from Him anything we ask, because we obey His commands and do what pleases Him." 1 John 3:21,22.

It is one thing to have someone that tries to abuse you physically or emotionally but self-abuse is even worse. Self-accusation results in self-condemnation. As believers, we have a peaceful way of dealing with our failures and crises. Daily we ask God to forgive us for all our imperfections in thought, word, and deed including sins of omission and commission.

When we put ourselves down, we meditate on what is lacking instead of being grateful for what we have; we compare ourselves to others and come out less than; we beat upon ourselves and work ourselves into a state of self-condemnation that blocks answers to our prayer. God responds to faith not fear, hope and not despair, and confidence not condemnation.

Today, exchange condemnation for courage. Whenever you face a storm have the courage to speak faith. When tempted with sin have the courage to resist the devil. When you make a mistake have the courage to go quickly to God and ask for His forgiveness and mercy. His forgiveness is instantaneous and therefore we can leave the place of prayer guilt-free and without condemnation.

Kingdom Declaration:
I am confident in the forgiveness, protection, and provision of my God.
