Keep your faith alive

Keep your faith alive

"I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I'm just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then.  Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day." (Josh. 14:11,12).

These were the words spoken by a man called Caleb when he was eighty-five years old. When he was forty-five years old he was one of twelve spies who were sent by Moses into Canaan Land to assess the territory for invasion.  All the spies except Joshua and Caleb brought back negative reports.  The negative spies saw great cities and great giants who seemed more powerful than they were.  Joshua and Caleb, however, knew that to take the land would require a fight but they believed that God would help them to fulfill His promise and their purpose to conquer the land.

Howard Shultz in the 1980's had a bizarre idea to open a coffee bar and serve coffee in paper cups over a counter.  It was difficult to sell others this idea and in trying to raise $1.6 million to start his dream he was shut down 242 times.  His persistence, passion and faith paid off and Starbucks was born, now a multi-billion company.

For forty-five years Caleb kept his faith alive in the wilderness.  Now at eighty-five he was ready for a new battle for a new season.  He was not ready to be retired but instead to be re-fired.  He was ready to ignite his dream with faith, passion, and hard work.

Keep your dream alive:
1)  Make a choice.  I will not give up on my dream for with God all things are possible.
2)  Be consistent in your confession.  Live by faith. Speak and share the dream.
3)  Be courageous.  'No' is only a detour to the destination of your 'yes'.
4)  Be passionate about your dream.  Passion is contagious and is a magnet for resources.
5)  Pray and work your dream and God will make your dream a reality.

Kingdom Declaration:
The CHAYIL Glory of the LORD Jesus Christ rise upon me to live my dream.
