God is Almighty

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless. I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers." Gen. 17:1-2

God is Almighty. In this scripture, God is confirming His covenant with Abram and his descendants. Twenty-nine years previously they had entered a covenant that would include the possession of land and the development of a nation. During this time of waiting, Abram and Sarah's faith was tested as they faced ruthless kings of Egypt, family issues with their nephew Lot, and the greatest test of all was their patience to wait on God for the fulfillment of their covenant promise.

Abram and Sarah remained childless in spite of praying and believing for the birth of a son. God came to Abraham when he was 90 years old and put a seal on His covenant with him. He called himself, "God Almighty". The Hebrew word for "almighty" is "Shaddai", meaning: strong, mighty, able to create or destroy, unlimited in power.

As "God Almighty" He is our Eternal, Omnipotent God without limitations in power; able to create in and through us; able to destroy our enemies and able to do miracles to fulfill His promises in our lives. As God Almighty, He blessed Abram and Sarah despite their old age to bring forth a son called Isaac. From Isaac came a nation called Israel, our Messiah called Jesus Christ, Christianity, and the Church of Jesus Christ. Your Almighty God can bless you and He will. Wait on Him. Believe in Him, for with our Almighty God, all things are possible.

Kingdom Declaration:
I am believing God for great miracles and for His great glory to manifest in and through me.
