Honor God and He will honor you

"The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph's care, because the LORD was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did." (Gen. 39:23).

Joseph was a man that was greatly used by God to preserve his father, his family, and nations in a time of famine. Joseph's journey, however, included jealousy, treachery, slavery, lies, and slander but God's purpose for his life was more powerful than all that he faced. He went from his parents loving protection to be thrown in a pit and left to die by his jealous brothers. He was a victim of treachery by his brothers who tried to kill him - the same brothers whom he would later save.
He was sold into slavery and eventually bought by Potiphar, one of Pharaoh's officials, to become the manager of his household. The grace on his life made him so attractive that Pharaoh's wife tried to seduce him. Joseph, however, was a man of great character and resisted the temptation of Potiphar's wife. When Joseph ran from her, she became bitter and lied that he tried to seduce her. Joseph ended up in prison but he was promoted in prison. Wherever Joseph went he was blessed and was a blessing. "The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered." (Gen. 39:2).
The CHAYIL Pillars worship, wisdom, power, honor, favor, wealth, and influence, reflect the growth of Jesus, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." (Luke 2:52). As your pillars of life, they will help you to grow like Jesus for an overcoming successful life. Joseph was honored everywhere he went and he eventually became the Prime Minister of Egypt. Joseph honored God through all circumstances and God honored him, "The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered." (Gen. 39:2).
