The Kingdom, Power and Glory of God

"For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." Matt. 6:13.   In the first century the early Christians added a doxology to the Lord's Prayer and it is very fitting that we also end our prayers in worship and honor to our Heavenly Father and King.  The word doxology means 'praise and glory' to God, exalting the Kingdom of God as greater than all the kingdoms of this world.    Throughout the Bible we see examples of Doxology: David wrote: "Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours."  1 Chron. 29:11. Daniel wrote of Jesus: "He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him.  His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed." Daniel 7:14. Paul wrote:"Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen." Phil. 4:20. Timothy wrote: "To him be glory forever and ever. Amen." 2 Tim. 4:18. Peter wrote: "To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." 2 Peter 3:18. Jude wrote: "To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!  Amen." Jude 25. Angels Sing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!"  Rev. 5:13.   Our faith declaration in worship: "For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever," affirms our confidence in the Kingdom, power and glory of God forever and ever, Amen.   Kingdom Declaration: The Kingdom, power and the glory of the LORD Jesus Christ is everlasting. @Dr Pat Francis @Chayil$
