Lionel Messi scored twice in the win over Celtic in Glasgow on Wednesday
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reiterated his wish to see Lionel Messi finish his career at Barcelona.
The Argentina skipper is currently locked in contract talks with the Catalan club but Guardiola says he expects Messi to finish his career at the Camp Nou.
Guardiola worked with Messi for four seasons at Barcelona, winning three La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and two Champions Leagues.
The former Spain and Barcelona skipper has previously described Messi as the "best player of all time" and claimed five weeks ago that his "greatest wish" would be for the Argentine to finish his career with Barca.
"I told you more than once that Messi will stay at Barcelona and he will finish his career at Barcelona," the City manager said ahead of his side's match at Burnley on Saturday.

"It's my wish. I wish that he goes from the beginning to the end at Barcelona."
Barcelona and Manchester City have faced off twice so far this season in the Champions League group stages, when Guardiola's side were humbled 4-0 in Spain but victorious 3-1 at the Etihad in the reverse.

Messi scored a hat-trick in the first meeting and also picked up Barca's only goal in Manchester with the Spanish giants guaranteed to top the group following City's draws with Celtic and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
His current contract expires in 2018 and the forward refused to discuss the situation at an adidas event before Barca's 2-0 victory at Parkhead last week.
