Two kinds of faith

"The righteous will live by faith."  Romans 1:17

Faith is the lifestyle of a believer in God.  By faith we take the promises of God and make them ours.  By faith we resist the devil until he flees.  By faith we know that all circumstances in our lives, regardless of how difficult they might be, will work together for our good because our God is in control.  It is said that "Faith is dead to doubt, dumb to discouragement, blind to impossibilities, and knows nothing but success in God."

There are two kinds of faith:
1)  Human faith.  Every person has human faith.  Children are born with faith and without fear.  A child has faith in parents, teachers, family, and friends. With human faith, we believe what we know by our senses - what we see, hear, taste, smell, and feel.  We sit on a chair by faith without checking its strength; we fly in a plane by faith without understanding how it works; we make plans for tomorrow by faith.  Everyone has human faith.  Human faith keeps the world in operation and function, and helps human beings to continue in their journey of life.
2)  Supernatural faith.  This is a gift of faith given by God to those who believe in Him.  Because you are born with faith, you have the ability to put your faith in God and to receive the faith of God. "To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours." 2 Peter 1:1.  God's faith in us has overcoming power: "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." 1 John 5:4.

Faith is important in your relationship with God: "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6. Have faith in God and all things are possible for you.
